Bok Tower

Bok Tower is named after Edward Bok, the man who funded its building. The tower is build out of pink marble and coquina stone. The doors were modeled after the doors of the duomo in Florence. The tower's overall design is gothic in appearance, however it feature many art deco style carvings and statues. It is a "singing tower" with 60 carrilon bells that are played many times daily.

Allthough you're not supposed to, it's fun to go feed the squirrels peanuts. There is also a large moat/reflection pond that surrounds the tower with many large coy and goldfish who are always appreciative of a few crumbs. Don't try to feed the aligators or the swans though, they're not friendly.

The gardens surrounding the towers are expertly landscaped, and a wonderful place to spend the day in the shade or to have a picnic. Bok tower is a must see.
